GE CAPITAL DOES NOT WANT TO REMOVE 30 DAYS DELINQUENT REMEART FROM CREDIT REPORT? - ge capital corporate card

I've been using GE CAPITAL CARD for almost 7 years. I was late on my payment for 30 days because of my own carelessness. I asked GE CAPITAL IN WRITING remove negative comments about co-operate not from my credit card as a gesture of good will, but apparently GE 30th CAN I SUE THEM? Please advice.
